Chiropractic Care vs. Medical Care

The fundamental difference between Chiropractic and Medical Care is as simple and obvious as the difference between subtraction and addition. Chiropractic does not add something to the system, instead it removes anything that might interfere with its normal function.

Chiropractic enhances the body’s natural healing ability by removing spinal nerve interference allowing the body to function at a more optimal level. A body which functions at peak potential will be healthier and more vibrant.

Conversely, standard medical care seeks to treat a symptom by adding something from the outside—a medication, a surgery or a procedure. Instead of dealing with the underlying cause, control of the symptoms becomes the main focus. More reactive than proactive, this approach is really symptom-based health care or crisis care.

Does this mean there’s no need for medical doctors or medications? Not at all. If the body is too weak and broken to mount its own defense, then it will need some outside intervention to lend help. This should be the last resort and you should make it your goal not to get to this point.

Adopt a proactive approach to health and wellness. Keep your body free of nerve interference through chiropractic care, make necessary lifestyle changes, get regular exercise and adequate rest, and pay more attention to good nutrition. The only thing you’ll be adding to your life is years.
